FAQ

Why does my name and e-mail show up on every bid item?

That’s part of the computer program. It’s designed so you don’t have to re-type that particular information over and over. This feature is not bidding for you, as you would have to add the amount you’d like to bid AND click the “submit bid” button in order to make a bid.  When you close out of the Soup ‘n Bowl site, your information disappears (it is not stored anywhere), so another person could then make bids from your computer!

I love the piece, how do I make it mine?

Just buy it! There is a buy-out price on every piece. All you have to do follow the Pay-pal link and we will then close that item.  After we ship the item to you, we will e-mail you the exact amount  (hey, no handling fees!) and you can again use Pay-pal or send us a check.

OR

Keep bidding on line – please make your increments in at least $5.  Take the current bid price and add your increase for your total bid. Remember that on-line bidding stops the day before the event….

…To continue bidding during the Soup ‘n Bowl event, e-mail nancy@roswellamoca.org with your maximum bid(s), item #(s), and your phone number.  Our volunteers will keep bidding for you in $5 increments until your maximum bid(s) is/are reached. IF you are high bid at 3 p.m. on Saturday, we will call you and take your credit card information over the phone, as well as arrange for shipping.

What do I put under “Bid”?

If the current bid is $50 and you want to increase the bid by $5, then your Bid is $60.  Your bid is the total amount of the current bid plus your raise.

I can’t be there for the auction, what do I do to keep bidding on an artwork?

To continue bidding, e-mail nancy@roswellamoca.org with your maximum bid(s), artwork or platter #(s), and your phone number.  Our volunteers will keep bidding for you in $5 increments until your maximum bid(s) is/are reached. IF you are high bid at 3 p.m. on Saturday, we will call you and take your credit card information over the phone, as well as arrange for shipping.
